Our demons define our character, personality, and who we are. We sometimes think of these demons as things that can be rooted out, and we search for remedies or ways of 'fixing' our demons. In a sense this is resisting life, what is, and who we are, which can only lead to suffering. Our demons give rise to other aspects of our personality, for example creativity. Instead of suppressing or trying to change who we are, we should instead acknowledge, accept, understand, and tame our demons. Our challenges and struggles in this world are our greatest teachers. We can learn valuable lessons from our demons.
